We charge an onboarding fee for the work and our commitment that we will put into guiding you through the journey to Ireland and for the support you will receive after placement. The fee is not for securing you a job placement as we are paid by the employers who will hire you .
The fee is for the ongoing support in Malaysia and Ireland after you secure your job through us . We will promptly answer your queries in regards to everything pertaining towards securing a job in Ireland and the education and guidance you will receive while onboarding with us ( please see a full list of member benefits ).
We have dedicated moderators and admin members who will reply to your questions on facebook private page and messenger as soon as possible if not within a 2 hour time frame . With this support we aspire to help you obtain your Irish Medical Council registration the soonest. Our target is 6 months however there are many external factors not within our control that could come in play . We also provide you with vital education needed towards preparing you towards life in Ireland . This last bit is priceless as there are many instances where culture shock could result in devastating outcomes and doctors being deemed incompetent when they are actually just having a hard time adjusting. We prepare you psychologically towards working confidently in Ireland months in advance before your actual placement through our educational content . We are specialists in securing doctors with GP experience jobs in Ireland . We also provide extensive educational content related to GP practise that will be immensely helpful in Ireland . Our educational content gives you an insight of how GP/GP urgentcare/GP after hours are practised in the western countries .
After permanent residency , you have the option to apply for speciality training however this option is not available to you on a temporary work visa . More of this will be shared in our members area. Doctors who have been doing regular locum work in GP clinics are encouraged to apply regardless of which speciality they are in should they decide to come in via the GP pathway . You might consider this option as it is most lucrative as compared to HSE jobs in the public hospitals at least until you reach permanent residency should you want to specialise in another hospital field later. Eg :MO in anaesthetics department with extensive locum work in private GP . During the registration process you can use our educational material to prepare you for GP work in Ireland .
Should you decide that GP work is not for you and you want to only work in a hospital role we can source for job for you in the HSE system . Please as HSE jobs can be applied for directly through the HSE portal and should you decide to secure the job directly with HSE we will not be able to refund your membership and provide you with support in Ireland . In this scenario you could inform HSE that you would like us to be your representative recruitment agent and if they agree to sign a contract with MYIR MEDIC we can than offer you all the member benefits in Ireland .
Doctors who are relatively junior – Post graduate year 3 and less are welcome to join our paid members network . This group of doctors will also be be eligible to have their membership fee refunded should they secure a job through us . They are welcome to join to benefit from the Irish Medical Registration application guidance / online support and to access our education section . We can help you with securing a job however you could apply directly for these jobs on the HSE website and wait to be contacted. The wait time for this varies and the salary payout is not as lucrative as our niche GP roles . We only offer support in Ireland from MyIr Medic Ireland branch to doctors who secure a job through us. Hence if you were to secure a job through HSE we will not be able to assist you with support in Ireland .
As all the above service costs us time and money hence the fee is taken as commitment from you to stick with us through the process.
